Keith Alexander’s achievements in football will be honoured at a Black and Asian Coaches Association forum at Stamford Bridge next week. Alexander, who died earlier this month aged 53, was regarded as a pioneer for black mangers in a career that took in Lincoln, Peterborough and Macclesfield. ‘In terms of leadership and dedication, Keith Alexander was head and shoulders above many,’ said Chris Powell, the chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association.

Communities of Health Award
Acorn FC was presented with a Communities of Health Award at NHS Newham / Newham Link, Listening Event held on 12th March 2010 at West Ham Football Ground Conference Suite. The event was a high profile event with Joan Saddler (OBE - National Director of Patient and Public Affairs), and Marie Gabriel, Chair of NHS Newham. Acorn FC was recognised by the NHS as a Community of Health club for outstanding services in improving the health and well being of local people.
